PHIL DOLEMAN & ANDY WEBSTER

Following a string of successful musical adventures across Europe, Harmony Voyages is excited to announce Strum Through Austria, a brand-new ukulele coach tour blending music, friendship, and discovery in the heart of this beautiful country.

Led by Andy Webster, a familiar face at Harmony Voyages and our experienced Tour Manager, known for leading ukulele workshops at our festivals and managing several of our popular river cruises, alongside his good friend Phil Doleman, a renowned performer and teacher who has spent over 20 years travelling across the UK, Europe, and the US performing and leading workshops at festivals, theatres, and clubs. Together, they bring an infectious energy and wealth of musical experience to every session.

From the grand elegance of Vienna to the tranquil beauty of Dürnstein and Zell am See, each day combines sightseeing, relaxed workshops, and open-air strumming in unforgettable settings. With comfortable hotels, scenic journeys, and plenty of musical camaraderie along the way, Strum Through Austria 2026 promises a memorable journey where melody meets adventure, and every day ends on a high note.

Accommodation

Austria Trend Parkhotel

Vienna

MONDAY 14 – WEDNESDAY 16 SEPTEMBER 2026

At the Parkhotel Schönbrunn you can experience imperial Vienna on a truly personal level: the hotel is located in the carefully restored former guest house of Emperor Franz Joseph I. It was originally a rest stop, opened in 1787, which was taken over by Ferdinand Dommayer in 1823 and expanded into an inn. In the decades that followed, it was transformed into the venue for lavish balls, and became a byword for the Viennese lifestyle. Numerous works by Johann Strauss the elder and younger, as well as their contemporary Joseph Lanner, were premiered here. The Parkhotel Vienna was constructed from 1907 to 1908, according to plans drawn up by the Austrian architect Arnold Heymann. As well as 70 guest rooms and dining rooms, the hotel boasted a ballroom and a Viennese coffeehouse.

Your room will be a Double/Twin bed configuration, have individually controlled air conditioning, a flat-screen TV with integrated radio, laptop safe with internal socket, minibar and free Wi-Fi.

Gartenhotel & Weingut Pfeffel

Dürnstein

WEDNESDAY 16 – SATURDAY 19 SEPTEMBER 2026

This elegant hotel, across the street from the Danube River, lies 7 km from the Karikaturmuseum Krems contemporary museum and 12 km from the Burgruine Senftenberg castle.

The warm and rustic rooms and suites provide free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs and sitting areas. Some include balconies with river views. Suites add separate sitting areas and/or extra bedrooms. Some quarters offer air-conditioning. Room service is available.

A breakfast buffet and parking are complimentary. Additional amenities consist of an informal restaurant, as well as a spa with a rooftop infinity pool, sauna and steam room.

Hotel Cella Central

Zell am See

SATURDAY 19  – TUESDAY 22 SEPTEMBER 2026

Cella Central enjoys a prime location right in the pedestrian zone of the old town – the perfect starting point for exploring. The lake is just 200 metres away, with the outdoor pool, CityXpress, casino, and Esplanade all within easy walking distance.

Enjoy complimentary use of the ALPENBLICK SPA at our sister hotel, or unwind in the City-SPA’s bio sauna, Finnish sauna, steam bath, and whirlpool. The on-site Restaurant Cella Central serves authentic Austrian and Pinzgau cuisine, while the comfortable rooms and suites provide the ideal retreat after a day of discovery.

The vintage city-chic rooms combine timeless charm with modern comfort, offering everything you need for a relaxing stay. Each features a double bed with “Hefel Pure Maize” pillows, a bathroom with tub and separate WC, a mini fridge and tea station, a flatscreen TV, desk, telephone, and safe. Guests can also enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi, cosy robes, and quality toiletries.

Your Ukulele Experts

Andy Webster

Your Tour Manager and host for the trip, Andy has spent over 30 years performing as both a professional and semi-professional musician, from playing French horn to fronting the band Warehouse of Thieves as lead singer and ukulele player. A familiar face at our Costa Festivals, Andy’s passion for the ukulele has also taken to the road (and the river!),  from leading the unique Sail & Strum Rhine River Cruise to guiding a coach full of ukulele players to the Galway Uke Festival.

As well as being a seasoned musician, Andy has a background as a producer and musical director in theatre, always placing great emphasis on fun, connection, and customer experience, values he brings wholeheartedly to Harmony Voyages. When he’s not on tour, you’ll often find him exploring the Lakeland fells or leading guided walking holidays in various locations.
