Voyage en Provence

South of France

CHARMING CANAL CRUISE

Step aboard for a unique and intimate journey through the heart of Provence as we invite you on a 6-night, 5-day barge cruise through one of France’s most enchanting regions, expertly guided by your Harmony Voyages Tour Manager, Andy Webster. This unforgettable voyage blends stunning scenery, rich history, and authentic local experiences – all delivered at a gentle, relaxing pace.

With only 22 guests on board, you’ll enjoy a relaxed, personal atmosphere as we cruise the Rhône and Rhône à Sète Canal, passing through sun-drenched vineyards, charming fortified towns, and the wild beauty of the Camargue. Along the way, enjoy the selection of included guided tours, local tastings, and unforgettable visits to olive farms, museums, and the must see trip to Saint-Guilhem-le-désert, one of France’s most beautiful villages.

Whether you’re sipping a cooling drink on deck as we drift past vineyards, inhaling the sweet scent of Lavender, exploring the salt flats of Aigues-Mortes by tourist train, or sampling oysters fresh from the Étang de Thau, every moment is thoughtfully crafted with connection and culture in mind.

Unlike our regular cruises, this voyage is all about unwinding – no formal entertainment, just relaxed evenings on deck watching the world go by. Take the chance to read that book you’ve been meaning to pick up, or simply chat about the day with your fellow passengers. Celebrating something special? We’re happy to help you make it memorable.

Join us for a week of discovery, flavour, and friendship – with the added warmth, wit, and expert guidance of Andy Webster.

For your convenience, an envelope will be placed in your cabin on your final evening aboard. You can leave it in the designated box at the reception desk when you disembark.

Clothing

Comfortable, casual clothing is appropriate both onshore and onboard and we suggest lightweight clothing that can be layered. Shorts are appropriate for most tours, however long pants may be required for inside visits on some excursions. Your cruise manager will advise when and if this is required. You may find a significant amount of walking over uneven terrain during your time ashore. We recommend comfortable walking shoes with good ankle support. Sturdy sandals are another good option. Don’t forget to pack a lightweight, waterproof jacket (preferably hooded) or even a heavier-weight wind-breaker for cooler temperatures. Also, keep in mind that the barge, coaches and other venues visited on our itinerary may be air conditioned and possibly quite cool. We recommend that you pack a lightweight sweater or long sleeve shirts and carry them with you on excursions.

We can’t speak highly enough of Harmony Voyages and the experience they gave us on board the Amadeus for the mini cruise from Amsterdam to Rotterdam...

We enjoyed 4 nights of wonderful customer service, superb entertainment and exceptional food & drink. We cannot wait to come on board again soon!”

Joe and Hilary Royle

“This was our first river cruise with Harmony Voyages. It certainly won’t be our last…

Everything was simply superb from the moment we embarked on the Amadeus Cara in Passau until we disembarked a week later in Budapest. The ship, the crew, the itinerary, the cabin, the food, drink, ambience and the fantastic music provided by Paul Carrack and Nina Zella were simply out of this world, and massively surpassed our expectations. We can’t wait for another cruise in 2023. Keep up the great work, and hope to see you again soon.

“This was a fabulous holiday with Harmony, certainly the best river cruise I have been on….

We were looked after so we’ll both by Harmony and the crew of Amadeus Cara. This is the best European holiday I have ever had.
