Once you land in Malta, you will be greeted and escorted to the coach by our staff. After which, we will transfer to the hotel for check-in. This evening, join the welcome meeting with the rest of the group, led by Paul, Margot and Andy, to run through the itinerary for the week and have an opportunity to ask any questions.

Enjoy a guided walking tour of Valletta, Malta’s historic capital and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, visiting some of the city’s key sights before heading to the Upper Barrakka Gardens for magnificent views across the Grand Harbour. There’ll be time to paint en plein air and sample traditional Maltese pastizzi and Kinnie, followed by a light lunch of Maltese platters and local deli items at Kingsway Valletta. After a day exploring the capital, return to the hotel to enjoy dinner with the rest of the group at 7pm.

Begin the day at the Blue Grotto, admiring its crystal-clear waters and dramatic sea caves, with time to paint from the viewpoint before taking a traditional boat ride to explore the coastline up close. Continue to Ħaġar Qim, one of Malta’s ancient prehistoric temple complexes, before heading to the picturesque fishing village of Marsaxlokk. Enjoy free time to explore the colourful harbour and traditional luzzu boats, with lunch at leisure overlooking the waterfront. After a day discovering Malta’s coastal scenery and rich history, return to the hotel for dinner with the rest of the group at 7pm.

Spend this day at the Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Malta Golden Sands. A painting workshop will give you the chance to further develop your techniques while drawing inspiration from the beautiful Mediterranean scenery. Following the session, the remainder of the day is yours to enjoy, whether continuing your artwork, exploring the resort’s facilities or simply taking in the coastal views. Dinner with the rest of the group will be held at 7pm in the hotel.

Travel to Gozo aboard a traditional Maltese luzzu boat, taking in scenic coastal views before visiting a viewpoint for an en plein air painting session. Discover the ancient Ġgantija temples and explore Victoria, Gozo’s historic capital, including the impressive Cittadella and Cathedral, followed by lunch in St George’s Square. In the afternoon, visit the historic salt pans and Calypso Cave, overlooking Ramla Bay, before a final stop at the Blue Lagoon for a refreshing swim and time to enjoy the crystal-clear waters. After a full day discovering Gozo’s highlights, return to the hotel for dinner with the rest of the group at 7pm.

Enjoy a relaxed day at the Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Malta Golden Sands, with time to slow down and make the most of the resort and its peaceful coastal setting. The morning will include a painting workshop, providing an opportunity to develop your skills and take inspiration from the surrounding Mediterranean landscape. The rest of the day is at leisure, giving you the freedom to continue painting, relax at the resort or simply enjoy some time by the coast. In the evening, come together with the rest of the group for dinner in the hotel at 7pm.

Depart the hotel by coach approximately 2.5 hours before the scheduled flight departure, allowing plenty of time to reach Malta International Airport and complete check-in and departure formalities.
