Your package holidayWhen your holiday includes more than one element such as accommodation, entertainment, airport transfers or tours, it falls under the Package Travel Regulations and you are fully protected should something go wrong. In recent months the travel industry has been hit by an unforeseen set of circumstances, resulting in a complete halt to business and a requirement to refund client monies. As a franchised member of Fred Olsen Travel Ltd, Harmony Voyages protects your money under their ABTA bonding arrangements. However, we feel that it is essential that we can refund your money as quickly as possible in the event of a last-minute postponement or cancellation of your holiday. Excluding flights from your package holiday enables us to do this.
We believe that over the coming 12 months there will be changes in legislation that will require airlines to refund tickets in the same efficient manner. In the meantime, you will always have consumer credit protection when booking a flight with a credit card should your airline fail.
When you are booking your own flight, or we book it on your behalf, we strongly advise you to use a Credit Card that allows you additional cover should your carrier fail.
Also, it is advisable to check your travel insurance policy to confirm that you have Airline Failure Insurance as an inclusion.
Amend your booking for free
You can amend your booking for free at any time before you have paid your balance, with no fees and no questions asked.
You can change the names of passengers travelling (unless there are specific pre-paid items linked to individual names that are non-refundable/changeable).
You can change your holiday to another holiday featured on our website, subject to availability, prior to your balance payment.
Cancelling your booking
Deposit payments are non-refundable and providing your reason for cancellation is covered by your holiday insurance you should be able to claim this back (less any excess). Occasionally we will be able to offer you the option to transfer your booking to another date, depending on availability and whether your deposit has been used to secure pre-paid non-refundable items. Cancellations received after the balance is paid are subject to our standard Terms & Conditions.
You must provide details of your travel insurance provider prior to travel and are strongly advised to have adequate cover in place as soon as you make your booking.
Many more travel insurers are starting to cover COVID-19 as standard and a variety of options are available including, but not limited to:
• You falling ill prior to travel: falling ill with COVID-19 whilst abroad
• A household member falls ill and you need to self-isolate
• You are denied boarding due to detected symptoms
• Airline or travel provider failing due to the pandemic
FCO (Foreign and Commonwealth Office) advises against all but essential travel to my destination?
We will postpone the holiday and offer you the option of travelling at a later date or offer you a full refund of all money paid at the time of postponement.
Local area lockdown?
Should your postcode be locked down preventing you from taking your holiday, but the holiday is still taking place, we will endeavour to resell the elements of your holiday and refund any amounts that are recoverable for you. This is not guaranteed and would only be possible where we have a waiting list in place for a trip that is capacity limited. You are advised to double check your travel insurance for further clarity.
It is a fact of life that whilst we are living with COVID-19, even with the vaccine, there is an element of risk attached to everything that we do outside of our own home. Each of us has to assess our own level of risk and decide what we are and what we are not prepared to do. For some, this will mean not travelling anywhere. For others, providing necessary insurance cover is place, you will be happy with a certain level of risk. Harmony Voyages will endeavour to mitigate as much of the risk as possible and we work closely with our suppliers and you, our valued customers, in order to ensure that your best interests are protected at all times.
